How To Go Nuts On Your Honeymoon? Make Your Hubby’s Food Fantasy Come True!

After a successful wedding, honeymoons are all about enjoying: drinks, food, and sex, in particular. So why not learn how to be the perfect wife and make one of your husband’s Food Fantasies come true?

At the end of each of our Sensual Cooking Classes at AFS, we ask the guests to tell us their Food Fantasies.  Over the years I’ve compiled folders and folders of these fantasies.  It’s been delightful listening to that man who wants to cover his naked wife (who’s wearing a Dairy Queen hat) with the Dairy Queen cherry sauce and to lick it off of her.  Or that woman who wants to swim in a pool full of warm chocolate, eating the graham cracker raft and drinking champagne.  I myself had my own Food Fantasy come true- my husband surprised me with the most AMAZING taco tasting EVER.  We were in Puerto Vallarta and I had mentioned that I LOVED tacos but I wanted to try “real” tacos.  We began with a Corona at 11am, drove all over PV tasting the best Carnitas, the Barbacoa from a street truck in front of the Soriana (in Mexico street trucks are more like wagons).  We even had tacos with all the hotel employees on the side of the road, made from the back of a pick-up truck!  That tasting went on for hours and when I could barely stand any longer we crashed on the bed and napped.  Food Fantasy – CHECK!  It was such a delightful surprise and so thoughtful, it is truly one of my favorite memories!  Take some of our advice and create or fulfill your own Food Fantasies.

samantha sushi

.

Remember this scene from Sex & The City, when Samantha covers herself with sushi? Send him out for a nice massage, sensual enough for him to start feeling aroused. Meanwhile, order dozens of sushi from room service, set up a romantic atmosphere, and strategically cover your body with them a few minutes before he comes back – if you remember the movie, waiting for hours in this position is not very comfortable

.

Your beloved is more into dessert? Become a human ice cream sundae! The W-Hotel has a “sex in the sheets pack” including a choice of blue fin ice cream by the pint, butterscotch sauce, chocolate sauce, sweetened whipped cream, and marshmallows. They even thought about the plastic sheets and… a Polaroid disposable camera!

wine tour

Your whole honeymoon can be all about your Food Fantasy! You share a passion for French wine, Italian cuisine or even American BBQs? Set up an entire tour for your honeymoon. Unforgettable memories!

.

2 weeks away and feeling home sick? Had enough sightseeing, pool time or activities and just want to chill out?  Set up the room to make it look like home, put on one of his large T-shirts and your panties and order the most homey food you can find (10 days of Pad Thai can create SERIOUS hamburger cravings!)  Then share a nice bubble bath, a bottle of champagne and strawberries… A good omen for the rest of your marriage!

.

Check Food Fantasy off the list and then share your next food fantasy with your sweetie- remember your anniversary is just 1 year away, and this is a great anniversary gift idea!

In this hilarious new comedy based on the best-selling book of the same title, audiences are welcomed into a fun-filled world of insider advice that could only be culled from that most insightful of individuals: the gay man.  The play is set at a local university auditorium where the English department holds its monthly meet the authors event.  Robyn is the shy and studious moderator of the event and this month’s featured author is Dan Anderson of Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man.  With the help of a hunky staged assistant named Stefan, Dan aims to turn this meet the authors event upside down with a highly theatrical, audience interactive sex tip seminar.  Will Stefan’s muscles be used for more than moving more than heavy scenery?  Will the power of Dan’s tips prove too titillating for even Robyn to resist?  As with everything at this event…that is for Dan to know, and you to find out!

8 Ways to Stay Warm this Winter

As the first day of winter quickly approaches and the temperatures drop we’ve created a cheat sheet for you to stay warm all winter long.

Stay warm in winter1.  Shake it Baby Shake it- Get dancing!  Remember back to your rave days- turn down the lights, grab your glow sticks and shake your money maker.  Moving around releases endorphins which increases your mood and your blood circulation.  The more you blood moves through your body-
2.  Eat Garlic!  Not only does it fight off vampires (there are so many of those around these days) it is also believed to heat the body and awaken sexual desire according to The Philosophy of Natural Magic, by Henry Cornelius Agrippa, L. (W. de Laurence 1913)
3. Take a Bath– you and your rubber ducky will feel much warmer and relaxed after a nice soak in the tub.
4.  Hang our with your peeps– Spending time with the people that make you feel good do just that- the make you feel all “warm and cozy” and that feeling literally will make you feel warmer.
5. Eat Fat Foods!  Well just the one’s that have good fats in them- chow down on avocados, nuts, eggs, olive oil, salmon and tuna.  These foods help the body regulate its temperature- if you diet is deficient in fat, you will feel colder.
6.  Take a drink break- hot tea, hot coffee, hot toddy... whatever- the warm liquid warms your from the inside out and defrosts those cold hands as well.
7. Get Spicy– many spices warm you from within- try ginger, cinnamon and of course chiles!  If you’re really cold- try eating spicy foods and you may even break a sweat.
8. Take off your socks and snuggle!  Under the covers bare feet on bare feet will warm you up much faster than socks- and cuddling releases that feel good hormone, oxytocin that reduces stress and lowers blood pressure.

To warm things up exponentially- do any and all of these suggestions with your partner.  Spending time with your Sweetie will make you feel good, increasing your mood and warming you up even more.

Sizzle Up Thanksgiving with Delish Dinner Ideas for Two

Ohh Thanksgiving. Honestly it’s one of my favorite holidays, I think because I like the fact that all of us Americans are eating a version of the same meal on the same day, at almost the same time. Don’t you just love to feel that connected to everyone? Of course I LOVE the Thankful aspect too! This year we’ll be making vision boards with one side all the things we’re thankful for and the other side with pictures of all the things we want.

Even though Thanksgiving is a major holiday to be spent with lots of family, sometimes it’s just not possible to make the trip to visit loved ones. This year our Thanksgiving celebration will be for two. Well actually we will be three, however our four month old son really doesn’t count since he’s still a breast man. So I have to look at Thanksgiving in a different way in order to make a delicious dinner for two. I’m pretty sure we don’t need a 12 pound turkey. But what we do need is a combo of great ideas and traditional dishes made in small form.

Since we are just two and our leftovers aren’t going anywhere, it’s important to think about what sides you love the most, in order to have leftovers of that dish.  I’m also a bit of a cheater- I don’t want to skip any element. I want turkey, mash potatoes, stuffing,  gravy, yams/sweet potatoes or a sweet squash, string beans a salad and some kind of pumpkin dessert. But dang! That’s A LOT of cooking for just me to do- so here’s my game plan:

Thanksgiving Dinner for TwoHow to make a Delicious Thanksgiving Dinner for two

1. Roast a turkey breast or make a stuffed turkey roll from a boneless breast.
2. 1 Acorn squash cut in half and stuffed with butter, maple syrup and marshmallows (instead of a bunch of yams)
3. Buy ready made cranberry sauce, add fresh orange and ginger.
5. Quick sautéed hericot verts with garlic olive oil and almonds
6. Mashed potatoes (no substitute for this dish in my book)
7. Stuffing- buy 1 loaf of sourdough use half for the stuffing and other half to make leftover sandwiches.
8. Buy already prepped mire poix (celery, onion and carrots) use it for the stuffing and gravy.
9. Make a salad with mixed greens, pre cooked beets, goat cheese, apples, pistachios and a cinnamon, balsamic honey dressing.
Buy a good mini cheesecake, top it with pumpkin pie filling.

And then be thankful you have the perfect Thanksgiving Dinner without all the hard work.

If You Like it – Put a Ring on It!

Sure, getting down on one knee in the middle of the restaurant is romantic, but lately people have kicked it up a notch with their proposals – making it a public affair.

Top Three Amazing Marriage Proposals*
*May inspire you to propose to your babe all over again

1. Lip-Sync Proposal
Here is one of my favorite proposals – incorporating Bruno Mars’ “Marry you” and a fabulous dance routine performed by family and loved ones. You can tell that everyone involved thoroughly enjoyed being a part of this amazing proposal. (This video was the inspiration for this post!)

2. Movie Trailer Madness

This is an AWESOME idea for your movie-lovers out there. We saw a couple of these movie trailer proposal and we thought this one had the best plot and outcome! (Spoiler alert – there’s a dance finale that really makes this proposal stand out!)

3. Flash Mob Dance Off

There’s nothing better than your girlfriend/boyfriend having no idea about the proposal – even while it’s happening right in front of her/him! We just love the girlfriend’s reaction when her boyfriend jumps into the dance routine – she was DEFINITELY surprised.

There is nothing sexier than showing your romantic side – there’s no shame in telling the whole world that you love someone. I hope this post inspired you to go out there and show your babe how much you love her/him (and maybe gave you a few ideas)!

Baby Alexander Delamor is Here!

These past months have been amazing (and HECTIC) with our beautiful baby on the way and Joel and I are ecstatic to announce that … *drumroll please*

BABY ALEXANDER IS FINALLY HERE!!!

Alexander Jeter Delamor

Date Night In

There are countless options to choose from when planning a date-night out, but sometimes there are times when you just want to stay in and spend a romantic evening at home with your babe. A date at home may be more romantic that you think – you can do everything you planned to do during a night out except with a bit more privacy. All you need is a few ideas to spark the mood and you’ll forget about spending every single date-night out. Plus, you don’t even need to walk too far to reach the bedroom at the end of the night (if you even make it there).

Candlelight Picnics
A little wine can take you anywhere.

A little wine can take you anywhere.

What I love about picnics is that you can have them almost anywhere! Instead of packing sandwiches and salads for lunch, light up a fondue pot and enjoy a sensual meal for two with a sexy combo of melted chocolate and fresh fruits (Add a dash of chili powder in the hot dark chocolate for a spicy kick). Take time to feed each other using your fingers and lick off any excess chocolate when necessary!

Playing Your Clothes Off

This second date night idea involves some friendly competition – playing games with each other to get some adrenaline pumping. Take a twist on old favorites like poker and turn it into strip poker, so that no one really loses in the end. Technology has made this date idea more fun by giving you games like Wii Sports that both sides can enjoy. The main goal of challenging each other isn’t to beat your partner, but instead to ignite a little competition that will stir things up in the bedroom at the end of your date. All that adrenaline has to be used up somehow, right?

Sensual Secrets

This date night idea is something that all couples need to try – sharing your sexual fantasies with each other. Write down sensual fantasies on pieces of paper, shake them up in a small bag and take turns choosing one at a time to perform for each other. This is a great way to open up to each other without actually having to say anything openly. With the entire night to yourselves, you’ll have time to explore each other in a way that wouldn’t be possible on a date-night out. You never want sex to become a routine, so take this opportunity to learn exactly what pushes your partner to their sexual limit.

Remember, date night doesn’t always have to include fancy dinners or outdoor activities. As long as you are able to shower each other with love and passion, dates can be as successful inside as they are outside.

The Art of Manliness

Hello all you sexy readers out there! This week, we want to share an awesome website that teaches you the art of manliness (I mean literally, that the site’s name)! There are so many cool things on this website that ladies  will also enjoy. The Art of Manliness, or AoM for short, is well-suited for a man with all types of interests – including fashion, sports, finance and more!

We love the “Manly Skills” section which teaches readers special skills such as “How to Change Your Motor Oil,” “How to Wire an Outlet” and even “How to Tear a Phone Book in Half.” Some skills are super practical, while others are just hilarious!

This month, AoM is running a “Sandwich of the day” series where they post up creative sandwich recipes that we will definitely be following! My favorite so far is the Carne Asada Torta, which is AMAZING! We love the variety of the sandwiches and can’t wait till we try more out!!

What we love about this website is that it gives readers both technical and life advice. Whether you’re a dad or a young teenager, AoM has something for everyone! It’s perfect for the modern man looking to indulge in his various interests. I don’t think there are enough websites like this for guys out there and we want to give our male reader some love too! Check out AoM and subscribe to their awesome posts!!

Keeping It Hot While Expecting!

If you haven’t already heard the big news…Joel and I are having a baby boy! We are super excited and in light of this awesome news, this post will be for all you pregnant couples out there. Just because you’re having a baby, doesn’t mean the flame should burn out! Here are a few ideas for your 9 month journey together.

Baby moon

Massages. They are welcomed any time in this house all year long and definitely more so now that I’m pregnant. Women start aching in all sorts of places during this time, so a loving massage is always amazing. Use some sensual oils, maybe some with scents (Unless you’re sensitive to smell), and treat each other to some scrumptious chocolate strawberries. Also, switch places! Both of you should be enjoying this perk, not only the ladies out there 😉

Food. As we all know, Joel and I are food-lovers and it only gets better with this pregnancy. Now that you ladies are eating for two, food will be your best friend. Explore different foods and cravings with your partner and make it fun! Try foods that you’ve never tried before, who knows maybe you’ll find a new favorite go-to meal. As I get further into my pregnancy, I’ll share with you guys all of my weird and crazy cravings!

Baby Moons. A baby moon is pretty much like a honeymoon for expecting parents. Actually, Joel and I are taking one as we speak! Pick a place that you and your lovey can enjoy together. We’re currently at St. Lucia and we’re having a blast (More info later)! Baby moons are an awesome excuse to take a private vacation with just the two of you. Take this time to remind each other of the love you both share and the excitement of the new baby.

Last, but not least…SEX! It may seem obvious, but some people are afraid to have sex during a pregnancy. Come on guys, this woman is giving birth to your child – give her some much needed lovin’! With the influx of hormones, sex should be as great as ever. Don’t be afraid to rekindle that physical romance when pregnant, it should be natural and fun for both of you.

Pregnancy doesn’t mean that your love life should go down the drain! Fill your lives with love, so you both can welcome your beautiful baby into a loving world.

XOXO Shani

Let’s Celebrate

OMG!! I feel like I haven’t talked to all of you in sooo long! Dang! Please forgive my radio silence – but we’ve had SOOOO much going on!

Joel and I have a special notebook we use just for us as a family. We start out in January by writing down all of the things we are thankful for that we received the year before. Then we write down all the things will wish for this year.
