5 Date Night Ideas Your Man Will TOTALLY Agree To Do

Can’t believe we’re already in August!

Joel & I had the chance to enjoy the sun of Mexico for a few days, and it was AWE-SOME! But, for those of you who are stuck in NYC for the summer, and still want to spend some precious time with their beloved, here are some ideas for you…

1. Love movies but don’t want to spend summer inside? Create your own movie night Al Fresco!

All that you need is:
– A blanket
– A computer/pad– download your fav movie
– A nice picnic
– A peaceful park/beach/rooftop
– Some candles if you feel romantic

THAT’S IT! A cheap way to get unforgettable memories!

2. Wanna feel special and act as if you knew something about wine tasting? Visit a vineyard!

Long Island is what- one-hour away from Manhattan? And believe me- you can find wonderful vineyards to visit there!
Organize a romantic trip to Long Island and go wine tasting! The wine-growers will be happy to share their passion with you, and you’ll get out of there a little tipsy, just enough to smile naively and enjoy the trip back!

3. Feeling adventurous, but not too much ? Grab your paddles and go canoeing!

You’d love to go rafting, but don’t feel ready yet? Start with a nice afternoon on the Hudson River with your lover!
On Chelsea Piers, you can rent a canoe for FREE and enjoy the coolness of the river while tanning under a bright sun… and let him paddle!

4. Wanna impress him? Go dancing in Bryant Park!

Every Wednesday, in Bryant Park, dance lessons are organized, followed by dancing to live music.
Go there alone at 6pm, follow the class carefully, and tell him to meet you at 7pm, when the class is over and that live music starts. You’ll impress him with your moves!
He doesn’t even have to know that you just took a class…

5. Come spend a special night with Joel & I ? Try our new Mixology class!

Autumn is coming, and when the weather goes grey, you’ll want to remember your summer nights… Book a Mixology class now before it’s too late, and come learn how to make that delicious Margarita you had on the beach in Playa del Carmen… remember ?

If You Like it – Put a Ring on It!

Sure, getting down on one knee in the middle of the restaurant is romantic, but lately people have kicked it up a notch with their proposals – making it a public affair.

Top Three Amazing Marriage Proposals*
*May inspire you to propose to your babe all over again

1. Lip-Sync Proposal
Here is one of my favorite proposals – incorporating Bruno Mars’ “Marry you” and a fabulous dance routine performed by family and loved ones. You can tell that everyone involved thoroughly enjoyed being a part of this amazing proposal. (This video was the inspiration for this post!)

2. Movie Trailer Madness

This is an AWESOME idea for your movie-lovers out there. We saw a couple of these movie trailer proposal and we thought this one had the best plot and outcome! (Spoiler alert – there’s a dance finale that really makes this proposal stand out!)

3. Flash Mob Dance Off

There’s nothing better than your girlfriend/boyfriend having no idea about the proposal – even while it’s happening right in front of her/him! We just love the girlfriend’s reaction when her boyfriend jumps into the dance routine – she was DEFINITELY surprised.

There is nothing sexier than showing your romantic side – there’s no shame in telling the whole world that you love someone. I hope this post inspired you to go out there and show your babe how much you love her/him (and maybe gave you a few ideas)!

Date Night In

There are countless options to choose from when planning a date-night out, but sometimes there are times when you just want to stay in and spend a romantic evening at home with your babe. A date at home may be more romantic that you think – you can do everything you planned to do during a night out except with a bit more privacy. All you need is a few ideas to spark the mood and you’ll forget about spending every single date-night out. Plus, you don’t even need to walk too far to reach the bedroom at the end of the night (if you even make it there).

Candlelight Picnics
A little wine can take you anywhere.

A little wine can take you anywhere.

What I love about picnics is that you can have them almost anywhere! Instead of packing sandwiches and salads for lunch, light up a fondue pot and enjoy a sensual meal for two with a sexy combo of melted chocolate and fresh fruits (Add a dash of chili powder in the hot dark chocolate for a spicy kick). Take time to feed each other using your fingers and lick off any excess chocolate when necessary!

Playing Your Clothes Off

This second date night idea involves some friendly competition – playing games with each other to get some adrenaline pumping. Take a twist on old favorites like poker and turn it into strip poker, so that no one really loses in the end. Technology has made this date idea more fun by giving you games like Wii Sports that both sides can enjoy. The main goal of challenging each other isn’t to beat your partner, but instead to ignite a little competition that will stir things up in the bedroom at the end of your date. All that adrenaline has to be used up somehow, right?

Sensual Secrets

This date night idea is something that all couples need to try – sharing your sexual fantasies with each other. Write down sensual fantasies on pieces of paper, shake them up in a small bag and take turns choosing one at a time to perform for each other. This is a great way to open up to each other without actually having to say anything openly. With the entire night to yourselves, you’ll have time to explore each other in a way that wouldn’t be possible on a date-night out. You never want sex to become a routine, so take this opportunity to learn exactly what pushes your partner to their sexual limit.

Remember, date night doesn’t always have to include fancy dinners or outdoor activities. As long as you are able to shower each other with love and passion, dates can be as successful inside as they are outside.

The Art of Manliness

Hello all you sexy readers out there! This week, we want to share an awesome website that teaches you the art of manliness (I mean literally, that the site’s name)! There are so many cool things on this website that ladies  will also enjoy. The Art of Manliness, or AoM for short, is well-suited for a man with all types of interests – including fashion, sports, finance and more!

We love the “Manly Skills” section which teaches readers special skills such as “How to Change Your Motor Oil,” “How to Wire an Outlet” and even “How to Tear a Phone Book in Half.” Some skills are super practical, while others are just hilarious!

This month, AoM is running a “Sandwich of the day” series where they post up creative sandwich recipes that we will definitely be following! My favorite so far is the Carne Asada Torta, which is AMAZING! We love the variety of the sandwiches and can’t wait till we try more out!!

What we love about this website is that it gives readers both technical and life advice. Whether you’re a dad or a young teenager, AoM has something for everyone! It’s perfect for the modern man looking to indulge in his various interests. I don’t think there are enough websites like this for guys out there and we want to give our male reader some love too! Check out AoM and subscribe to their awesome posts!!

Whether you’re watching the game from home or standing room only, this snack serves it’s main purpose – to satisfy those munchies. But this snack can also be used for some sexy fun! Sunday Sultry Snack: Pumpkin Fudge 10.14.2012

With the holidays around the corner, it’s about time to start breaking out the pumpkin recipes!
The Sultry Snack  is….Pumpkin Fudge!

From Halloween to Thanksgiving and even Christmas, pumpkin is an autumn staple. Fudge is also one of those irresistible necessities which is delicious all year-round. Why have to settle for one or the other? Nothing says “stay at home and cuddle” like cold weather, a warm blanket, a spicy new tv show, and fudge! Who knows? Maybe with all this pumpkin, there might be some more pumpingtoo!

Recipes
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup melted butter
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin
  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 (12-ounce) package white chocolate morsels
  • 1 (7-ounce) jar marshmallow crème
  • 1 cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  1. Just like before any good time you have to wrap up! Grab some tin foil and line the pan (9 x 9) before you begin to cook the fudge. Stir together the first 6 ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, and cook, stirring constantly, until it comes to a boil. Keep cooking and stirring it until a candy thermometer registers 240° or for about 12 minutes. Remove pan from heat; stir in remaining ingredients until well blended. Pour into the foil lined pan and let it chill for 2 hours or until completely cool. Remember to share with your partner, snacks always taste better from a lovers hand…or mouth 😉

Sunday Sultry Snack: Banana Boats 10.07.2012

Ready to sail away into the sunset with your partner? This sultry snack will surely provide you with a seductively worthy sea vessel.
The Sultry Snack is….Banana Boats!

Nothing like this tropical fruit to get you in a lighthearted sexy Caribbean mood. The freshness of the banana juxtaposed with the melted chocolate gooeyness will make you satisfied for hours. Make this your late night snack or your afternoon delight, this snack will surely sweeten up your day. Not to mention it’ll melt your heart as well 😉

Recipes

  • 1 banana per person (or more)
  • 1 bag chocolate chips
  • 1 bag butterscotch chips
  • 1 bag mini marshmallows

Slice the banana vertically, making sure you have a big enough opening for tons of chocolaty yumness. Then you can choose your own method of preparation! Either wrap in tin foil and put it in the oven, or you can be more modern and place it for 1 minute in the microwave without the tin foil. After about one minute the ingredients should be nice and melted. Serve either over ice cream or eat it by itself. The most thing about this snack is to share it. Who knows? Maybe there’s some other banana out there looking for some warmth.
